John Paulding School

John Paulding School houses Pre-Kindergarten, partnered with Elizabeth Mascia Child Care Center, and Kindergarten students. Every classroom is led by a teacher and assistant teacher so that all students receive the attention they deserve. We take pride in our commitment to inclusivity and diversity by offering a range of programs, including special education and dual language classes. We also provide services such as speech and language therapy, reading support, and occupational or physical therapy.

Welcome to John Paulding School

As you step through the doors at JP, you'll be greeted by the cheerful sound of laughter echoing in the hallways. Our school is filled with curious giggles, which creates an inviting atmosphere for all.

At our school, we believe in fostering the power of friendship and teaching an understanding of the power of the community. Ultimately, we want our students to work hard with a “can-do-it” attitude, which can come naturally but is also explicitly taught, with hugs, high fives, affirmations, and smiles, which allow our children to feel secure and successful.

To ensure every student receives the attention they deserve, each classroom is led by a dedicated teacher and assistant teacher. This allows our students to participate in hands-on learning activities with the instructional support necessary for young PreK and Kindergarten learners.

At John Paulding and TUFSD, we take pride in our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. That's why we offer a range of specialized programs, including special education and dual language classes. We aim to provide all students with the necessary services, such as speech and language therapy, reading support, and occupational or physical therapy.

As the principal of John Paulding School since 2013, I am honored to play a role in your child's educational journey. My mission is to get to know each student individually and help them achieve their goals. I believe education for our youngest Horsemen should be a magical and engaging experience filled with many creative and joyful moments.

As a parent of two young adults, I understand firsthand the significance of a nurturing and supportive school environment. I wholeheartedly believe in the excellence of our schools and personally chose to enroll both of my daughters in our school district.  Kerri and Molly are proud Sleepy Hollow High School graduates, Class of 2019 and Class of 2022.  This decision reflects my trust in the quality education and compassionate community that we cultivate here in the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns.

Once again, welcome to John Paulding School, where we partner with our families to ensure a proper start for every child. We invite you into our school community with open arms. Let's create a nurturing and empowering educational experience for your child, filled with limitless possibilities and endless inspiration.
